Well, we're in Albuquerque! On our way to the hotel right now. I start filming "Lemonade Mouth" tomorrow! So excited!
Our mother/daughter road trip has consisted of TONS of music, lots of conversation, and some coffee. I absolutely adore our road trips! We always have the best time!
Throughout the drive, Mom and I have been making fun of all the signs. "Dead River," "Seven Mile Draw," and "Watch for Animals Next 77 Miles," just to name a few. Aside from all the casino billboards, constant stopping for construction, and the need to pee when we are hundreds of miles away from civilization, we've been having a wonderful time!
My song of the day would have to be "Set the World on Fire" by Britt Nicole. It has become a recent favorite of mine. Basically, the song sounds like she wrote it for me... As do quite a few of Ms. Swift's songs.
The line from that song that sticks out to me most is, well, not just a line. It's the whole chorus...
"Take my dreams, come and give them wings. Lord, with you, there's nothing I can't do."
Now that I'm on my way to shoot my very first anything, I really feel like my dreams are taking flight, as cheesy as that may sound to you. I can't wait... The whole process - from being submitted to auditioning to my callback to being cast to where I am now - has been the experience of a lifetime. I have learned SO much through all of this and I'm really realizing that this is what I need to be doing. Forever.
