Hello again! I know it's been a few days, but it's been a crazy few days! When was the last time we talked? Oh, Friday. So, since then, I have been to two (special) docotrs, played originals at the hard rock, cried my eyes out, felt super awkward, written a few songs, had a meeting with my manager, gotten seventeen hours of sleep, and had about twenty-four cups of coffee. That's only three days. Well, counting today, I suppose that would be four.
Tehehe. :D
Side note: I'd like to say that, even though I am a victim, I don't understand why on the computer and phone, when we indicate laughing, we use things like "tehehe" and "bahaha" and "lol." "Hahaha" is the only thing that really makes sense, because people actually sort of say "haha" when they laugh in real life. But no one says "laugh out loud" or "tehehe" or "bahaha." At least, no one I know.
Anyhoo...
I get my permit in 13 days.
Yeah, I'm extremely confident that I will pass. Even though I haven't studied much... Fingers crossed!
And Christmas is in 11 days.
Christmas is the best thing in the entire world. No one could invent anything, person, or day better than Christmas. That is my honest, humble opinion.
CHRISTMAS!!!! :O :O :O
(Tehehehe. :P)
So, some people on formspring have been asking me about the Hard Rock. I would like to let you know about that. (:
The place I take private music lessons (MusicMakers) has a few "rock bands" who meet there (they're all, like, ten. I've mentioned this before, haven't I?). Anyway, the bands were going to play at the Hard Rock on the 11th, but they also wanted a few singers. So, they asked me to play. I've performed one original song through them before, so they knew I could do it, and so they let me have a mini set for the show on Saturday! I played three original songs; just me and Amore (my best friend, my guitar, my comfort, my safety... I could go on and on about her. Mehh). It was one of the coolest experiences I've ever had, right next to going to Kenya and shooting a Disney Channel movie. Honestly, how much better can it get, really? The first time I had a real performance, where I played more than one of my own songs for more than some parents and teachers (really, there were about two hundred people there and I knew under twenty of them) was at the Hard Rock Cafe. I'm totally not bragging. I think I'm so incredibly lucky to have had that happen to me, and I'm definitely not taking it for granted.. It still feels like it didn't even really happen to me. But I got tons of great feedback, from both the audience and the employees there, so that's awesome! It was a ton of fun, too! I loved it! Can't wait til next time I play!
I have written the songs Echo, Outlaws, Rainy Music and Black & White since we last spoke. (: I love Black & White. It's about my second dog, Jessie, who drowned four years ago. She was my best friend. And I was the one who found her.
She was an extremely dramatic dog but she always seemed happy. So that's what I wrote Black & White to be. It sounds happy and upbeat, but if you really listen, it's actually really sad and quite dramatic.
So, finals start tomorrow. I'm not very nervous, though, because the majority of my tests are open book. Now, I'm not complaining, but doesn't that sort of defeat the purpose of a final, if we can use text books and notes? Maybe that's just me. :P
Before this comes to a close, I would like your guys' opinion on something. My manager and I were talking a few days ago and she really wants me to put together a one woman show, possibly mainly about my nightmares and such. Mostly music, maybe some monologues, all original. There aren't many details at all right now, because we're still deciding whether or not to do it. That's where you come in... Do you think it would work? Meaning, a) could i pull it off, b) would it make money, and c) would you even be interested in seeing something like that? Let me know!! :D I'd really appreciate it! You can vote on the poll to your right to tell me what you think, or simply comment on here/formspring. Whatever works! (:
Hey, we're halfway to 1300 views, guys. Thanks for checking out my page and, if you have, telling your friends about it! :D It's nice to know that people are actually out there reading what I have to say and responding well.
SONG OF THE DAY: "Don't Blame Yourself," Andrew Belle. (LOVE HIM!)
LINE OF THE DAY: "You need someone to be someone better than me in your life."
Goodnight, all! Sweet dreams!
