The New Year

Hey! I hope you guys are having/have had a fun New Year's Eve, and a wonderful break overall!

I don't know if I mentioned this.. But, yes, I got my driver's permit, and have been driving everywhere that does not involve the highway. (;

Although, I must admit, I did not pass my first time. You can miss 6 questions, and I missed 7. ): However, I went back the next day and only missed 4! I suppose it was humbling, because I was pretty confident I'd pass the first time. I cannot wait until it is not law that a licensed adult rides with me.

I recorded, on video, a couple of songs (covers), and they shall go up soon; possibly tonight.

Alright.. Hmm. I'm having a little bit of writer's block. Usually, especially for songs, I come up with cute titles before I write the song, and the title serves as my inspiration/drive/motivation for when I can't seem to think of anything... Anyhoo, I'm lacking that a little bit. So, I'd actually like your advice for some cool song titles! Anything goes; it doesn't have to be about anything specific, and I'd prefer you didn't tell me what made you think of the title. Just gimme the title idea. That's all I want. Anything that you'd look on the back of an album and think, "Sounds like a good song!"

I'd like to say something about love... Just because I've been thinking about it for a while, and thought I'd share my insights with you.
A lot of people use the term "falling out of love" to mean that they lost what they felt for someone; they don't love them anymore. I'd just like to say that I don't think that's actually humanly possible. If you truly believe you've fallen out of love, then you were never really in love. And it most DEFINITELY wasn't true love. True love never, ever, ever goes away. Dealing with a boyfriend or girlfriend, you may breakup, but if you still care about that person and/or have feelings toward them (even if after the split they turn into feelings of familial or friendly love), then you truly loved them. If the feelings literally just evaporate... You didn't ever really love them. You were in like or lust; not love. This is something that's been bothering me a lot lately. I've been seeing so much hate and hypocracy.. So many people say they love and care for other people, but then you hear about and/or see the things they do/say that show anything but love. And friends who say they've fallen out of love with the person they thought they'd love forever. Plus, I personally have a hard time keeping track of reality. And I feel like the hypocracy, hate, fakeness, and loss/absence of love just adds to the confusion. It feels like a lie most of the time, people saying they're in love, just because I know soon they'll do or say something that makes me go, "No, you're not."

Anyhoo, there's my little love rant.

I'd like to make a shoutout to my readers from Europe... The majority of my readers come from America, but the next biggest portion of my audience are people from Denmark and the UK. Thank you so much to all of you! I don't know how you heard of me, but I'm glad you did! It makes me so excited to find that I have huge "fans," if you will, in Europe, my favorite place ever! Don't forget all of you from Malasia and China! Thanks!

Hey, girl who used to write on my formspring everyday and still remains nameless to me, WHERE'D YOU GO?! ):

Also, I have to pick a contemporary and a classic (Shakespeare, probably) monologue for something at school. I'm going to probably do something from Twelfth Night for the classic, and something from A Streetcar Named Desire, by Tennessee Williams, for the contemp. I'm stoked. (:

I don't think I have much else to say. Happy New Year, everyone! I'm hoping 2011 will be an awesome year! I think 2010 was the start to a lineup of some good years for me! Hope all goes well for you, too!

Keep on keepin' on.

SONG: "The New Year," Parachute.
LINE: "I'm sick of holding both ends of the tightrope, cause when you fall all that's left is old hopes for me. Stretched thin to the end, tryin' to keep it all in. Oh, what a way to start the new year."

  3. Hi, jayna!
    I was trying to tell you my story idea on formspring. But, you're formspring won't let me leave any more questions and I really want to get this story idea to you, so you're gonna have to piece everything together! so i left off at the part wehre she is in the hospital, and one night, she has this dream, ____ is YELLING at her "YOU HAVE TO GO TO THE TREE (or feild)! IT'S URGENT!" when she wakes up from her coma she tells her mother to go to the tree and about her dream. Her mother, thinking that she's crazy, refuses to participate. so, as soon as the girl gets home from the hospital, the day she is let out, she runs to the tree like she was told........ but the tree is gone. there is nothing left.
