Hey! It's been a while. I am sorry for that. Life has been getting the best of me lately.
I have had a crazy past six days since we've spoken.
Clearly, or we would have spoken sooner, I suppose.
The biggest things are this:
- I sort of had/have a "pre-callback" (that's what I'm calling it) for a pilot.. that's all I am allowed to say.
- I have been doing tons of writing.
- I have made some both enlightening and depressing realizations about who I am and what that means for my love life.
The writing...
Yeah, my novel.
But I was speaking more along the lines of songs.
One of my recent favorites is entitled "Rage On." I actually just wrote that one tonight.
I was inspired by a quote in the Under the Radar magazine I picked up today. Justin Vernon (of Bon Ivan & Gayngs) was asked what one piece of advice he would give any aspiring musician. His response? "Don't edit yourself for others."
And that was my inspiration for Rage On.
Maybe I'll share the lyrics with you sometime. (:
I'd rather not make this one of my infamously long posts, so I'll just say this and then wrap it up:
I have realized that I am in a completely different place in my life than the majority of 16-18 year old guys are. And so it is going to be difficult to find a boyfriend. Because I need someone who's on the same wavelength as me, the same level, the same track... And, so far, all of my options are not there.
It's especially hard seeing that I've come to the conclusion that I am in a different state of mind/life from this one guy, whom I've wanted something to happen with for about a year. So, that's difficult. Because it's just not going to work.
Anyhoo, you can think about that.
I need to stop for tonight, just because I know I'll only ramble on if I continue.
So goodnight, farewell. Sweet dreams.
Song Of The Day: "Haunted," Taylor Swift (have we already done this one? Oh, well. I guess we're repeating if so. It's probably a different line).
Line Of The Day: "You and I walk a fragile line. I have known it all this time, but I never thought I'd live to see it break."
p.s. I'm blonde.
p.p.s. "or, what you will" comes from Shakespeare's "Twelfth Night." Just thought I'd throw that in there.
