Steps

Hello! How're you? I hope you are well. (: I have missed you, whoever you are.

Alright, so I have a few things to talk about tonight.
One regarding my PureVolume and YouTube accounts.
Yeah, I deleted my youtube and I have deleted all my songs from purevolume. To be honest, the youtube one was an accident, but I realized I can start fresh now, and so I deleted my purevolume songs. The reason being that I have written tons of new songs lately which I really like, and so I'm just basically switching them out. I'll probably record them tomorrow or some other time this weekend, then get stuff up. (:

Also, I have been writing a ton of short stories lately. Like, a lot. So, I was wondering if you guys would be interested in me posting them on here?? Just let me know via formspring or commenting what you think about that.

So, I'm getting sick. Boo.
I will record before I get so sick that I can't sing.
Or I will record after I recover from being so sick that I can't sing.

Someone asked me to give acting tips based on what I learn in film class. So I thought I'd share the notes I took on Saturday with you.

This past Saturday, we were working on/talking about commercials, so that's what the majority of these notes pertain to:

- fear in the actor kills character.
- character persuades and sells.
- film is linear, but we work out of continuity.
- acting is unselfconscious pretending.
- tension looks self conscious.
- character and relationship sell the product.
- pauses have to be for specific reasons; they have to add to the plot and move the commercial along.
- pick up cues. needs to be quick in commercials.
- don't indicate.
- don't whisper for the sake of whispering; don't purposefully give no voice.
- commercials are not about thinking/hoping/dreaming. they are about character.

no song. you'll get two tomorrow. (:
