Well, the craziness of the film industry has revealed itself to us, I suppose. We didn't get our hotel information until we were in Show Lo, on our way to Albuquerque. Then, once we got to our hotel (around 7:30 we got this call), Kendall from Extras Casting called us. She told us how to get to the blog through MySpace which would tell us where I'm supposed to go for filming. She told us to look for VICTORIA in the blog and see all of my instructions. Then, she asked if we'd been given any wardrobe instructions. We hadn't. So, Kendall informed us that they'd be on the blog.
Well, of course, Wednesday's booking details wouldn't be posted until after 8 o'clock. But we read over Tuesday's details, just to get an idea what we'd have to do for wardrobe and everything. Turns out I'd be needing to provide wardrobe and show up with hair and makeup already done. Since I'd assumed (lesson learned, NEVER assume!) that they'd be taking care of everything, of course this was the one trip I've ever been on where I brought an appropriate amount of outfits (like, four) and didn't bring my curling iron.
We panicked and quickly looked up a mall nearby, which we rushed to and went, well, to put it simply, speed shopping. Running into PacSun, I'm sure we looked like idiots. My arm's length was covered in hanger tops and the poor salesguy was trying to understand why we were going so fast (though, it shouldn't have been hard to figure out, even if he didn't know it was for a movie - the mall would close at 9. We had under an hour to get TONS of options for the wardrobe department). We told him we were shopping for my character in a movie and told him what movie it was upon his request. Apparently, the wardrobe department from Lemonade Mouth had basically wiped them out a few days ago when they went shopping for clothes for the cast.
Anyway, I told him that my character was the "cute nerd" and he helped us find tons of stuff - outfits, jewelry, bags - that Victoria would have. He was helpful... We just wish he'd gone a LITTLE faster. (:
I think my song for the day may be "Slow Ride." Just because we were so panicked and rushed last night that we got super tense and irritable and... Wow.
"Slow ride. Take it easy." That's the line. Oh, how I wish we'd been thinking of that last night while we speed shopped!
If you need an MIT sweatshirt, you know who to call! :)
