Hello, all!
I would like to thank those of you who responded to my last post, it really helped me out. (:
A couple of people asked me if I would start talking a bit more about my audition experiences, and I am definitely going to! Every time I have an audition (that I'm allowed to talk about :P), I'll definitely explain it a little more, just so you guys can get a feel for the business and what it's like trying to make it as an actress.
I have had a really awesome week so far, and I'm really glad about it. I really needed some good days, so this is very refreshing. (:
So, my coach has some company in town this week, which means next Wednesday I will go in to create a reel, and then either later that week or the next week I will probably be flying out to L.A. to meet with the agent we've been talking to! We did send she and her boss a tape, and her boss said he really loves my look and really likes me, but wants to see some more tape before they fly me out. So... We'll be doing that this coming week! Exciting stuff! :P
There's not much else going on right now, of course. Just trying to keep up with my eight classes (I HAVE to have a 4.0), after school classes/lessons, auditions, writing, reading, social life, boys, studying for roles...
I would like to take the rest of this time to talk about Taylor Swift's newest piece of brilliance, "Speak Now" (the album). Seriously, it's wonderful. A step up, even for her! She's always great but these songs are all longer and more personal and they.. they're just awesome!
She has a prologue in the beginning of her lyric book, and I love what she says. She says that the songs are all filled with words she never said when she should have and that she encourages everyone to just speak now. If you know how you feel, what you want, what you need, you gotta speak up. You can't be afraid. If it's meant to be, whatever it is, it will be. But you have to put in some effort. (;
Lemme say that I can speak for that ^ from experience. Recently, I had a really good talk with this one certain person (yeah, the guy I wrote that long apology to a few posts ago), and it feels good to have everything out in the open. There's no more misunderstandings.. We both know how each other feels and where we are in our lives right now. It's great. So, DO IT. If there's someone you need to say something to - whether it's an apology, that you love them, that they're awesome, that you wish they weren't dating some other girl cause you're falling for them, that they're all you want, that you were really hurt by something they said, that you're not ready for a relationship, that you wish they liked you back, that you can't stop staring at them - just SAY IT. I know it's terrifying. But you have to just buckle down and do it. You'll get through it and life will go on. And whether the immediate results seem good or bad to you, it's all good because you always learn something. (:
Song of the day: "Enchanted," by Taylor Swift.
Line of the day: "Please don't be in love with someone else. Please don't have somebody waiting on you."
This song is about meeting a guy for the very first time and just falling so madly in love with them right away.
This has DEFINITELY happened to me.
Especially recently.
And this is such a great line, because it's so honest and true. When you first meet a guy (or girl, depending on who all's reading this) that you think is cute, or funny, or talented, or smart, or wonderful, you typically don't know right away whether or not they're taken. And this line is how we all, well, I sure know that I do, feel when we first meet someone like that. You're just praying that they're not in love with someone else, cause you want them to be in love with you.
